Foodtech start-up Fooza Foods Private Limited, the entrepreneurial venture is redefining India’s ordering and delivery industry with innovative technology. Fooza was launched in the year 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic allowing the customers to devour exquisite cuisines during the imposed lockdowns. On the occasion of International Women’s Day Fooza organized a virtual panel discussion with female leaders in the food tech sphere. The objective of the panel discussion was to highlight how women leaders are impacting food tech.
India has seen the emergence of a number of female leaders or women entrepreneurs over the decade in many professions. The food tech sphere is no exception. During the virtual meet, Fooza highlighted the scopes and opportunities for women in the sphere of food technology and the possible obstacles that they might face. The virtual meet was graced with the presence of Reena Lath, Director and Co-founder, Kakoli Bakshi, Head of Partner Relations, and Chandrani Dutta, Head of Partner Relations. The programme emphasized how the enigmatic women leaders of Fooza have been key to building the emerging food tech company from the ground up.
Addressing the attendees, Director Reena Lath said, “The food tech space has seen a number of innovations from automatic roti making technology and vending machines dispensing home-cooked meals to the introduction of unique online food delivery platforms such as Fooza. The women behind them deserve applause since gone from thedays where women would be tied to the kitchen, to now where they are creating businesses– and innovation — out from the kitchens.”
Speaking on the same, Kakoli Bakshi, Head of Partner Relationsfor Fooza stated, “I am proud and delighted to be a part of Fooza. It is dedicated to its vision of delivering happiness to its customers and will continue doing so. As a woman working at a tech start-up, Iwant more women to join the food tech space and redefine the traditional definitions of entrepreneurship and women empowerment.”
Chandrani Dutta, Head of Product replied, “Fooza has given me the opportunity to work for a fast-paced, emerging business, and I would like to encourage more women to join the same and upgrade and reinvent their careers. The food tech space is growing rapidly and has wonderful opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
